We are the Kickstarter for gifts.
Purpose:
o Pool funds from mutual friends for a more meaningful gift.
Who it’s for:
o Friends, family, students, co-workers, and more.
How they’ll use it:
o They’ll use it to start a gift fund for someone, fund a gift that another friend has started to be part of a more meaningful gift, and to keep a registry of gifts themselves.
Core functionality:
o Find mutual friends through social network integrations and crowdfund gift money.
Consolidated definition statement:
o App for crowdfunding with mutual friends for a gift.
Features that fit the definition:
o Facebook / Social Network integrations to build a calendar of events (birthdays, weddings, etc.)
o Auto-finds mutual friends and makes groups for events and friends birthdays
o Venmo API so friends can pay straight from Venmo App
o Group mutually approves gift (voting)
o Auto-calculates what each friend/group-member would have to pay
o Timeline
o Auto-card made from everyones Facebook photos with messages
o Cover photo chosen by fund-leader
o Each fundee can choose a favorite comment or picture of the two of them to put in the card, w/ comment
o Budget’s how much you’d spend on certain people based on the amount of interaction you’ve had with them on Facebook
o Suggested gifts for each friend based on their social media posts and registry built on app

What we’re they doing before they found it?
o Thinking about how much she wanted her friend Clarissa to go to Outside Lands with her, and how she wished she could buy her a pass for her birthday; however neither her nor Clarissa can afford it. Clarissa’s birthday is a week away:
o Brittany starts the fund for Clarissa’s pass to Outside Lands
o All of the mutual friends Brittany and Clarissa are pulled up and Brittany can tap those she wants to join the fund

What did they do when they found it?
o Downloaded it > made an event “Wedding” > built out a registry > sent the app to everyone invited as well as put it on the wedding website > everyone going makes an account and funds gifts or join’s funds for bigger ones that the couple is asking for
What we’re they doing before they found it?
o Planning their wedding and looking at registry sites but thinking some people would be intimidated by the large asks…not if multiple people fund the gift!!
